My Top Book From Last Year

My first and most memorable choice of book from last year was actually a series of books. I read more than these 3 of course and I will share those too. But this series was the best of all my reads! Easy to follow...easy to love! Grab 'em the next time you book shop!

Bloody brilliant!

The Vampire Diaries! My new fave series all because of one very alluring, bad boy vampire Damon Salvatore. Why is it always the rebelious and psycho yet secretly sensitive men I go for....I have no clue. And who comes up with these characters because no man is ever like this in real life. I tell you what though, this series will definetely keep you glued to your television screen. I promise! The story line is almost as deee-lish as the yummy eye candy!

We Want It All

One minute we are happy and content and next minute we are unsatisfied and want something completely different. I know the problem. We want it ALL and society tells us it is all within our grasp. Ever heard of the whole "Ignorance is bliss" theory. The whole "If you dont know its out there you cant miss it". Well, it's true. Our problem today...the reason we are never fully satisfied with anything...is because they are constantly inventing and advertising thousands of new and better things. More advanced phones, bigger television, better deals on vacations, live here for better schools, wear these shoes because they tone you better, eat these foods because they are healthier. We have thousands of things probably thrown into our way every single day and some we dont even realize. Suicide, murder, theft,...all these things on a steady uprise because we arent happy with what we have...we want what they have and will do anything to get it. The sad part is...there really isnt much we can do about it. We are so consumed with technology and advancing economy that it has become an inescapable and never-ending cycle. Too bad. There are some days I really do wish I was just oblivious to it all. So until I become a Zen Master, guess I will try to keep in my chill zone.
